Valentine's Day: Last Minute Prep and Gift Guide

You know the drill - Valentine's Day is just a few days away, and you may be celebrating ahead of time, given that you're working on Tuesday, or you haven't even thought about how to get ready for your big date night. Either way, I'm here to help bail you out!

As you reach across the table for your beloved's hand (or, in my case, to hold my cat's paw), who wouldn't want to admire their own nails, entwined with the digits of another? For those looking for the cute and quirky, Jamberry wraps will always have a place in my heart! Their prints are adorable, and they often do collaborations, like Disney, for example. These little cuties will have your heart skipping a beat!

If you're the type who prefers to paint your nails, Sally Hansen continues to amaze with their recent releases this February, with 6 new shades being added to the range. I'm currently loving Mauvin' On Up on my nails, and Society Ruler looks like it will be a regular on my nails. 

To get you into the girly, all in a dither about the date mood, crack the cap on the Clairol Herbal Essences Colour Me Happy shampoo and conditioner duo. Do you know what else smells divine? Perfumes, of course! They make great gifts, including a possible treat for yourself while you're picking up some supplies to look like a babe for your date. Katy Perry's Mad Love comes in a cute pale pink bottle with a marble cap - had you at cute, didn't I? This smells both floral and fruity, and is a fun, flirty scent for the young at heart.

In contrast, Calvin Klein's Dark Euphoria is edgy, mysterious and sexy. This is musky, yet floral, and will have you reaching for a little black dress and skyscraper heels so you can strut your stuff and feel like the most powerful self aware woman on your date. 

For that girly, pretty feel, however, it's hard to go past Chloe! Their EDP is filled with the warm scent of roses, and all you will smell is the sweetness of the flower, which doesn't come off as cloying, like some rose scented perfumes can be.
