Review: Revitanail 3D Top Coat, Cuticle Remover and Keratin Strengthening Serum *

Revitanail, I feel, is one of those underrated and sometimes overlooked brands and today, I'm going to change that by showing it some love! For those who haven't heard me wax lyrical about it before, their Instant Dry Drops has to be, HANDS DOWN, the best thing for a nail doofus like me! It's so great that my sister, who barely spends a day without painted digits, used it once and she asked me to send her a bottle in New York. Enough about the miracle drops, let's have a chat about the rest of Revitanail!

When I first opened this, I thought it was incredibly gloopy. This does come with two ball bearings, which isn't what I usually see in top coats, and as such, I figured that it was meant to be quite a thick formula.

I found this so thick to work with, I ended up having to thin it out with nail polish thinner. This helped to a certain extent, but I think it does still need a bit more to get it to a thinner consistency. Being so thick also means it takes longer to dry down. What I do like about it, however, is the shine that you get with this - it does live up to the name! A few more drops of thinner should get it there!

This bottle of 14 ml retails for $15.95.

This cuticle remover comes in a black tube with a nozzle for easy application and a screw cap. It contains 30 ml of product, and is really easy to use AND it works too! Pop this gel onto the cuticles and leave it for four to five minutes, then gently push the cuticles back before washing your hands and voila! More nail space to play around with!

This works amazingly well on my cuticles and I absolutely love the results. For anyone with problematic cuticles, consider this as your next purchase.

You can pick this little tube of happiness up for $15.95.

I absolutely love this! This is meant to strengthen, protect and hydrate nails and you can apply this several times a day. The serum has a watery consistency and gets absorbed rapidly. I have found my nails to feel stronger and less brittle - winning! This goes for $19.95 in a small pump bottle, containing 30 ml of product. You can also get the Nourishing Oil to lock in the moisture, but I haven't had a chance to try that one out yet.

You can find Revitanail at Priceline, Coles and Woolworths, as well as selected pharmacies. Here's to shiny and healthy nails!

Have you tried Revitanail before? What's your favourite product from them?

  3. I have never tried this brand before but I am always for the lookout for a good strengthening base coat. Too bad for the thick top coat..it sounds like it's meant to be a gel-effect but I agree that when it's too thick it just comes out as a mess!
