Review: Nude by Nature Dewy Serum Blush Drops
As the colder nights drop away, and the warmer temperatures creep in, I can tell that we're about to be hit by a big, hot Summer, and I'm (currently) so here for it! Just wait until I get annoyed that I'm sweaty all the time, and that I have to take about 4 showers a day, and that I can't seem to stay cool, no matter what I try! That said, there are many things I look forward to, like eating gelato when it's hot, and not feeling guilty about it, staying indoors to avoid harmful sun rays, and generally wearing less of everything - clothes, makeup, accessories. Everything just feels lighter in the Summer!
That includes things like what I put on my face, and I've had the pleasure of receiving the Nude by Nature Dewy Serum Blush Drops, and I'm so looking forward to hearing it all the time in the Summer! For those who may not be familiar with Nude by Nature, I would highly recommend popping into your local pharmacy - chances are that you'll bump into the brand! I've personally lingered by the Nude by Nature stand many times in multiple Priceline pharmacies, and I can honestly say, some of my favourite products have come from them over the years.
They are a cruelty free, PETA certified Aussie based brand that has been serving us beauty products for the last 15 years, and it's been a gorgeous journey! They've now developed another stunner hybrid skincare/makeup product to help us look our best, both in an instant, and in the long run! The Dewy Serum Blush Drops is a serum based formula that is meant to have buildable colour, blend easily without resulting in any streaks, all while giving the skin a flush of colour, so that you can have that healthy, radiant good glow. It also has a hyaluronic acid complex and sunflower seed oil as part of the formula, so that your skin can stay hydrated and nourished beneath the surface.
It comes in a stout squeezy bottle with a bronze cap that reveals a nozzle once you remove it. Shake it up before using it, and give the bottle a gentle squeeze to get out a drop. I would recommend putting it on the back of your hand and taking it from that to dab it onto your cheekbones. The reason I say this is because I found this to be so much more pigmented than I would have thought. I was heavy handed with the amount I initially got out, and I definitely got more than I bargained for! If, unlike me, it's not dark enough for you, then you can certainly still build up the colour by dabbing more on the skin until you're satisfied with it.
I like that this doesn't crease and that it wears comfortably throughout the day. This has a lightweight texture, and it gives me a bit of a somewhat natural flush and finish, so that I don't look overly dolled up for a simple day out. This only comes in three shades currently, and I got Warm Rose, which is their darkest, sort of rosey colour, is a good hue for when I'm a little darker, like now, but may appreciate Peach Crush for the cooler weather, which has more of a coral tinge to it. For the fair skinned babes, Pink Petal, a light pink colour, may be best. For $22.95, this will last you for ages, and would be worth the dough if you're after something that can give you a semi-natural, soft, radiant glow. Does this sound like something you'd try?
