Review: Iyvos Collagen Moisturiser
For anyone who might be interested in an update about how the house is coming along in preparation for my mother's arrival - it's still a mess, so wish me luck! I've managed to sort through a pile of stuff, but there's yet another pile of stuff that I have to get through, so at this point, I've decided to do nothing about it, give up and roll over. Just kidding - I'll only be in my slug position for a little bit longer, typing away for this blog, before I have to get up and fix up the place a little bit more, so stay tuned! In the meantime, however, I've been busy trying out a brand that is totally new to me, and one that I'm really excited about using, and that's the Iycos Collagen Moisturiser!
I attended a paid Marie Claire a while back and received this in their goodie bag, and I was psyched to see something that was totally new to me. Side note - how lucky are the Sydneysiders to get the chance to attend such thought provoking and fun events, with a little something extra to boot? Truly, I'm so grateful that there are always exciting things happening here in Sydney! Speaking of exciting, I swear my heart rate jumped up when I caught sight of the Iyvos box at the bottom of the bag! An Australian brand created in Queensland, it was developed to help others feel confident in their skin.
The Iyvos Collagen Moisturiser is said to be great for helping revitalise and nourish the skin. The formula includes a powerful blend of hydrating ingredients and peptides, as well as collagen-boosting compounds, so that you can be left with plump, hydrated skin that looks more radiant. The key ingredient here is marine collagen, and this is supposed to help improve skin elasticity, while also reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and giving the complexion a firmer appearance overall. Of course, if you're looking for your skin to stay hydrated, you can't go past hyaluronic acid, which helps to draw and retain moisture in the skin, resulting in plump skin.
It also contains Vitamin E, which is great for conditioning the skin, keeping the face soft while nourishing it and protecting it from free radical damage. Additionally, there are botanical extracts, which are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, so that the skin can look rejuvenated and be repaired. Last, but not least, there is also CoQ10, which can look after the skin by protecting it from oxidative stress. This all comes in a round, short jar with a fat pump that is revealed once the cap is taken off. I use about 3 pumps of this to sufficiently cover my face and my decolletage. I do find that the pump doesn't always produce the same amount of product each time, but I just keep pressing on it until I get enough.
I love that this feels like quite a luxe product, and that the
moisturiser, while quite rich, doesn't coat the skin in a layer of
cream. Rather, this moisturiser makes my skin feel like it's suitably moisturised, and there is a light fragrance to it, which I don't mind. I've been using this regularly for the last few weeks, and I really like that this seems to plump out my skin nicely, and that my skin feels quite moisturised when I wake up in the morning. It's a beautiful moisturiser, and you'd hope so, given that this is about $109 for 50 ml of product! You can find out more about it over here. What new Australian brand have you discovered recently?
