Review: Genie Exfoliate 3 Triple Action Microdermabrasion Exfoliant Face Scrub

I always appreciate a good scrub, and the Genie Exfoliate 3 Triple Action Microdermabrasion Exfoliant Face Scrub has been one of them. While Genie is known more for their makeup, their skincare range should definitely not be overlooked!

This comes in a white tube with a flip lid, and the scrub itself has the consistency of a paste, which means that it's quite thick. There are little granules throughout it, and the scrub warms up as you rub it between your fingers.

This works in 3 ways:
  1. Double exfoliating action - Japanese Pearl Powder and Broemalin extract work together to exfoliate and buff away dead skin cells. They are also meant to minimise the appears of dark spots and pigmentation to aid with a more luminous, flawless complexion.
  2. Anti-ageing - Peptide complex repairs the skin, with the antioxidant effects of vitamins A, C and E improving the appearance of it, giving it better clarity.
  3. Unique dual phase thermo formulation - The warming sensation allows for maximum penetration of the ingredients into the skin, and it also has a cooling effect as it is washed off, which invigorates the skin
This scrub is microbead free and takes a little bit of work initially to get it how I want it on my skin, but once it's on, it does warm up beautifully. This does exfoliate really nicely, and using it twice a week is sufficient for me. I can't speak for it's ability to decrease hyperpigmentation, but it does an excellent job of getting rid of my dead skin cells, revealing the fresh and smooth skin beneath.

This retails for $39.95 and can be found over here. Have you tried anything from Genie beauty before? What's your favourite Genie beauty product?
