Review: L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation *
Let's have a chat about one of the biggest things to hit foundations! Everywhere I look, I've been seeing cushion-type foundation on social media, and for a good reason. I've been using this for a few days now, and I've been pleasantly surprised by it!
Firstly, can we just appreciate that this product has probably the highest level of SPF that I've seen in Western foundations that isn't a BB or CC cream? SPF 29! I'm so impressed by this, but of course, there has to be a bit of a downside, because nothing is perfect, as this also has a very limited range of shades, and I'm lucky in that Golden Beige fits my current Summer-adjusted skintone.
This is pretty easy to use - just press down on the cushion with the pad once, and you've got just about enough foundation to cover your face! Slide and tap to get the coverage you want and voila!
What I don't know is if I'm handling the sponge right, because every now and then, with my fingers beneath the ribbon, they slip a little and it gets a bit annoying. Otherwise, it's actually fairly straightforward and I think it'll get easier for me the more I use it.
The one major drawback of this is that I can't mix this with another foundation for my between seasons shade, unless someone has a good tip for how to do that!
I love that this has a dewy finish, which is what I prefer, and that I can adjust this according to whether I would prefer for it to be sheer or medium coverage. Just build it up if you'd like to! Despite how bulky the casing is, I love that this makes it easy to transport without worrying about spillage, and that the mirror in this ia also really big, so that you can touch up on the go. Also, who could possibly not love the shiny purpleness of the top?
This retails for $29.95 and you can find it everywhere that L'Oreal is stocked.
Have you tried a cushion type foundation before? What are your thoughts on it?

Such an interesting concept and it would be really good for in the handbag.

DeleteI was just commenting on another blog that I desperatelywanted to try this. But i didn't even make it to priceline in either of the 2 days. work was so busy I forgot to go to priceline on the first day, and on the second day,my gps took me to the beach and the company car got stuck in the sand.. LOL.. funny now, but dreadful at the time, my colleague got an earful sitting next to me, I spent about 10 minutes shouting out every profanity imaginable!
ReplyDelete:( That's seriously the worst story ever! I saw this on your blog and I could feel your frustration!
