Review: Bhave Leave-In Creme and Deep Intense Conditioning Masque *
I've been a little mean to my hair recently - styling, blow drying and even curling. That puts a huge amount of stress on the tresses, and you know that means eventually - hair that resembles the mop you find on an Old English Sheepdog - not pretty on me! This means that I've since been working overtime to get my hair back into shape (literally!) and I've been using some great products to do so!
Bhave is a brand that I've been getting cosy with recently, and for a good reason! Bhave is Australian owned and operated, and aside from having products that can be used easily at home, they also have an in-salon treatment system.
The Leave In Creme costs $44.95, and it'll get you 170g of product in a sleek, minimalistic silver tube with flip lid, which ties in with what this does! This contains Raw Natural Keratin Technology, which is a naturally derived an extracted keratin protein that is almost identical to the naturally occurring keratin present in hair and skin. The Raw Natural Keratin is actually derived from NZ sheep's wool! This is meant to restore and repair damaged hair by rebuilding and strengthening the strands.
This also contains slow releasing ceratonia peptides, certified organic argan oil, macadamia oil, vitamin E, sunflower seed oil and jojoba oil. This is meant to protect against hair breakage while restoring elasticity and promoting new hair cell growth and boosts shine. It is also free from parabens, sulphates and sodium chloride.
I used to be deeply into leave in hair treatments, but that was the days before oils became a thing for me. These days, leave in hair treatments can be a little too rich for my hair, and I have found this to be the case with this as well, sadly! However, all is not lost! Through trial and error, I have actually figured out that this works best in a 'less is more' kind of way - a little dollop will suffice (about a 10 cent piece) - and that I shouldn't use a mask in the shower prior to rubbing it through my hair.
By using the bare minimum, I've noticed that it's left my hair soft and smooth, definitely something that I want to keep using!
The Deep Intense Conditioning Masque comes in a similar packaging, and it also contains the Raw Natural Keratin Technology. $41.95 will get you 170g of product and this is meant to penetrate the hair shaft to restore moisture and elasticity to sad, dry, stressed out hair.
This is super easy to use. Just pop it through wet, clean locks of hair, and wait for five minutes before washing it out. You'll be left with hair that feels fresh, restored and silky smooth! I absolutely love this little goodie, and if you're ever on the market for something to help restore your hair to it's former glory (because we've all been there), then this should be on your list!
Bhave doesn't test on animals and can be found from selected hair salons nationwide.
Have you tried anything from Bhave? What's your favourite hair mask?

I love the box designs! I'm the same, a little goes a long way on my hair, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are really pretty, aren't they?
DeleteSure have! I've used both of these & had the same issue as you with the leave-in creme. I ended up giving that one away (kept a little bit for myself though, in case I needed it), but I've kept the mask because I like the consistency of it (i.e. it's thin enough for my fine hair to handle). I use their shampoos & conditioner(s) as well and like them.
ReplyDeleteI find that the creme works well with just a smidgen in my hair.
DeleteHello, Ladies .. Vicki from bhave here ..... you are right ... less is definitely more with the Leave In Creme, particularly on fine hair like mine (and sounds like yours, too!). Leave In Creme works best on hair that is more unruly and hard to manage ... I find that a little Riot Control applied to damp hair prior to blow drying gives me a super smooth blow dry, adds beautiful shine and keeps flyaways and frizz under control!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by! I do love Bhave!
DeleteI'm a HUGE fan of bhave products. I absolutely love their Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner and their Riot Control Oil. I experienced their in-salon Smoothe Treatment two weeks ago which I'll be publishing a blog post about tomorrow. Spoiler alert: It's amazing!!!!! Wait until you see the before and after photos!
ReplyDeleteLoved that post!
DeleteCan't wait to see and read, Ingrid .... you did have really lovely hair to start with :)
ReplyDeleteRight? I can't wait till my hair gets to her length - it's so short compared to hers!
