Review: Summer Fridays Heavenly Sixteen All-In-One Face Oil

 

I'm going to be honest here and say that Spring has never featured as my favourite season. Unpredictable weather, wild winds and cold nights with sunny days that burn a little too hot just don't gel with my 'either or' type mentality. That said, this year, I feel like I've gained a newfound appreciation for the season, given that it actually has been a little milder, even if the allergens have been overwhelming for my system, and that's only just in the last couple of weeks. I can't say that I've loved having a slightly raw nose, but the temperatures have been mild and rather lovely overall.

 

It does mean that my skin has remained a little on the dry side, given that we're still inching towards warmer weather at this point, and I've been layering on the good skincare to help combat any discomfort that might creep up. I purchased the Summer Fridays Heavenly Sixteen All-In-One Face Oil, and it's been an absolute treat for my skin! This is made up of a blend of 16 vegan oils that have been put together to help condition, plump and improve the skin's elasticity. This face oil is steeped in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants, and there are three ingredients that are responsible for a large part of them.

  Prickly Pear oil is rich in amino acids, as well as Vitamin C, and it's also meant to help deeply hydrate the skin, while plumping it to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. There's also Sacha Ichi seed oil, which is filled with essential fatty acids to help soothe and calm stressed skin, as well as aid in strengthening the natural moisture barrier. It also has pomegranate seed oil, which is full of antioxidants to help combat those pesky free radicals and the damage that they cause. Pomegranate seed oil can also help with cell turnover and regeneration and hydration, resulting in smoother, plumper skin for that radiant complexion.

  

 

This comes in a translucent dropper bottle that delivers a nice amount of oil each time. It doesn't have a notable scent, which is almost a bit of a shame, and I love that this is a relatively light oil that doesn't feel heavy or cloying on the skin. This takes about a minute for this to mostly get absorbed into the skin and while there is a little layer of oil left on the surface, it doesn't feel sticky or particularly slick. I love that my skin really does seem to appreciate this oil, and that I wake up to skin that feels smooth and soft, as well as bright. This really seems to agree with my skin and it shows!

 

 

To be fair, if you're going to be paying a hefty price tag of $95 for 30 ml of oil, you'd certainly want it to be worth the money! There are thirteen other oils that are in it, after all, including grape seed oil, sunflower seed oil, blackcurrant seed oil and olive fruit oil, just to name a few.
