Review: Patrick Ta Major Glow High Shine Nourishing Body Oil

As we rush towards the end of the year, I'm trying to be mindful about the amount of time that we have left, and spending those remaining days with intention. Of course, I'm saying this as I have a ton of things to do, including packing for a little getaway, decluttering all of my surplus amenities swiped from hotel rooms to take to shelters, grouping all the donations together for the animal adoption centre, tidying up my house before my mother comes to visit, and that's even before trying to get Christmas stuff together! Is anyone else feeling the end of year pressure, or is it just me?'

Well, at least the one thing that I don't have to worry about is how moisturised my skin feels, and that's definitely down to the Patrick Ta Major Glow High Shine Nourishing Body Oil! As the humidity rises this time of year, I'm definitely less keen on really oily oils. I mean, I don't enjoy the sensation of having sticky, oily, hot sweaty skin - am I right? It's not the most comfortable way to feel, so how do you stay moisturised when it's boiling outside? My trick is to stick with a dry oil. and in this case, the Major Glow High Shine Nourishing Body Oil has been beautiful for that.

Purchased online at Sephora for $82 for 95 ml of product, this claims to be a light body oil mist that's meant to help nourish the skin, bathing the skin with a healthy glow and sheen. The formula is enriched with olive oil and squalene, as well as stabilised Vitamin C to help keep the skin bright. The body oil also contains meadowfoam seed extract, as well as antioxidants, in addition to a barrier renewal complex. To top it off, this has soft notes of jasmine, saffron, bergamot, ambergris and warm sugar, making it a very Summer appropriate floral and cocoa blended fragrance to have on the skin this time of year.

This body oil comes in a clear bottle with metallic accents, including the pull off cap, making it easy to track how much, or in my case, how little, I have left. In order to leave my skin feeling moisturised, without getting oily, I find about 15 pumps to work sufficiently well at covering my entire body. This really is a dry oil, and this adds a shine to my skin that does seem to last for a number of hours. I love that it only takes a few minutes for it to dry down before I can put my clothes on - another win when it's hot!

I do tend to use this as an all over body oil, but for the times when I'm just about to leave the house, and I want to catch the light at all the right angles, I put a little spritz on my collar bones and shins so that they can shimmer a little in the Spring sun. I absolutely love this body oil, and I would totally purchase this again! It's always such a balancing act, trying to stay as a dry oil, while still being able to moisturise and nourish the skin, and this managed to achieve just that. Is this something that you'd purchase?
