Brand Focus: Truyu by QVS

I know that our focus here on Temporary Princess is primarily on skincare and beauty, because, let's face it, that's what looks to be the most important, because our face is what the world sees, and therefore, we must always put our best face forward, so to speak, so that we can make an appropriate impression on people. However, I would argue that it also comes down to the tools of the trade to help us look well presented and together, so today, we'll be talking about Truyu by QVS, and how this affordable makeup tool brand performs!

Stocked at Big W, that alone should tell you that you're not looking at a range that would break the bank. Instead, this budget friendly line allows you to explore grooming products that can be considered staples, such as nail clippers and tweezers, as well as tools that lean more towards fun and creative things, such as makeup brushes, sponges and an eyelash curler. Prices start from around $6, with the most expensive item being their Essential Brush Collection, which consists of five different brushes, for $32, which, if you were to break it down, you'd be getting at around $6.40 each.

Math and numbers are all fine and well, but would these be a wise investment for the discerning consumer? Well, I can state with absolute certainty that the staple are definitely worth the money. I really like the Tweezer Kit! This comprises of a regular sized tweezer, and a mini one, so that you can always have one stashed in your bag for your emergency moments - stray hairs, false lashes in need of a little help, you know the deal - and the bigger one works well on a daily basis. Best of all, this is only a paltry $13.

I also love the Powder Puffs! These guys are great for when you're on the go, and can be popped into your compact, so that it's always with you. I struggle to find anything else similar to this, which is kinda crazy, considering that this actually nothing ground breaking, just hard to procure. This is a win for $6. It has to be said, I'm a fan of the Sapphire Nail File as well! Once again, it's a simple, but effective product that has a sheath, so that you can travel safely with this (although you probably can't take it on a plane with you), so that your nails never have to suffer while you're on the road! Flying in at around $7.50, mine has lasted me for a while.

If you're after staples, Truyu definitely has products that won't put you in the poor house, and would do what the label says. My pick is the Tweezer Kit, as there's always one in my handbag! There are a number of other products that I haven't explored from the brand yet, and I'm keen on trying whatever I can get my hands on! Have you heard of Truyu?
