Brand Focus: Botany Essentials

Everybody, don't panic, but please stop whatever else you might be doing, and I mean drop it right now, and read this public service announcement about the next brand that you might want to consider indulging in. I know that if you're already reading this, then you probably already aren't doing anything else anyway, but still, for dramatic effect, I felt like I had to say it. Seriously, though, snuggle down, because you're gonna want to read all about Botany Essentials!

Botany Essentials does a mix of skin care and hair care (which I can't wait to try!), and what they do is strive to find a balance between the goodness of nature and beneficial ingredients. Their ingredients are sourced ethically, harvested and processed without causing damage to the habitat. With sustainability at the core of their production line, they've made sure that their packaging is recyclable, and they've worked hard to ensure that they're taking measures to reduce the toll it takes on the environment to create the products.

Produced and based in Melbourne, Botany Essentials contains Australia native extracts and pure essential oils. I was sent a small range of goodies, and this has only left me wanting more. The Botany Native Flora Serum retails for $27.50, and has a light texture. This contains a derivative of vitamin C to help fight free radicals, hyperpigmentation and other signs of aging, with the aim of protecting and repairing the skin, resulting in hydrated and radiant skin.

The Botany Native Flora Day Creme contains cocoa butter and grapeseed, coconut and jojoba seed oil, and this blend is designed to help hydrate the skin, while also improve skin elasticity and boost collagen production. It also has acetyl zingerone to help battle free radicals and this boasts better photostability than conventional antioxidants. This is also supposed to help increase resistance to sun-induced redness and signs of photo-aging. The PM version of this is the Botany Native Flora Night Creme, which is meant to help collagen stimulation, improve skin elasticity and firmness, while also dealing with fine lines and hyperpigmentation. This has bakuchiol, which is a retinol alternative, and several types of oil, including grapeseed oil and cacao seed oil. They both retail for $34.50 each.

Now we get to talk about what I've been OBSESSED with, and that's the packaging! These come in an array of gorgeous colours that I find very soothing, and the pumps are firm and springy, dispensing a good amount of product each time. I'm especially into the pump that is connected to the Botany Native Flora Cleanser, which is my favourite product in the bunch. Each pump gives me enough to thoroughly cleanse the face, and this gel cleanser is so gentle on the skin, it's like being softly kissed by a breeze, getting rid of dirt and excess sebum. This is also supposed to help collagen production, as well as improving hydration. I love that this helps to keep my skin feeling soft, and that it cleanses without making my skin feel dry or uncomfortable. For just under $30, this is a total bargain and so very much worth trying! You can find the entire range over here. What would you try first?
