New Release: Burt's Bees Hemp Collection

You know what I love? Burt's Bees! And you know what I love more than simply Burt's Bees? I love when they create something new and wonderful, and that is exactly what has happened here with their new collection - the Burt's Bees Hemp Range!

I feel like hemp was the buzzword a few years ago, and it kinda petered out over time, so it's really nice to see it making a comeback! Most people will be familiar with hemp, because of marijuana, of course, but did you know that there are a lot of other uses? We're talking textiles, paper, food, biodiesel fuel... There's more to it than simply getting high on the THC! I love that the plant is also quite sustainable, given that it has a fast growth rate, and given the multitude of uses, why wouldn't you want to use it for all of the good things?

Burt's Bees created this line as Hemp Seed Oil can be amazing at hydrating the skin. This is rich in Vitamin E, and contains a great mix of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids to help keep that skin barrier healthy. If you're wondering why the scent is so familiar, that's because it's apparently a mix of basil and verbena, which I find quite appealing. Much like other products in the Burt's Bees range, the packaging is very cohesive in that you'd find the tubes to be quite familiar, with the main difference being that it states this to contain hemp.

My favourite product from this collection has to be the hand cream - as someone who relies on hand cream as a nightly, and several times-a-daily, ritual, I absolutely adore this! To me, it feels like it does go for longer, compared to the original version. The scent, while lovely, is light and doesn't linger for long. It's a lovely range, and it's currently available at a number of different retailers that stock Burt's Bees. The body lotion and hand cream retail for $19.95, while the lip balm is available for $6.95. Is hemp in skincare your thing?
