New Release: Essence Spring Releases

Spring is all about new beginnings, hope and sunshine, as the darker days fade away, and the weeks start to warm up. Here in Sydney, while the weather has been fluctuating a little, you can feel the heat coming, and it's making for a welcome relief from the cold evenings. On the counter this month, Essence has released their new season offerings, and I couldn't be more excited about them!

The Crystal Power range comprises of 2 palettes, and the Crystal Power Eyeshadow Palette is a beaut, with nine shimmer shades, from light pastels to iridescent orange and red hues. This retails for $12, as does the Crystal Power Blush & Highlighter Palette. This particular palette is vegan and houses 4 shades, with two of them being appropriate for highlighting, while the other two are better to use as blushes.

There are also two mascaras, including What The Fake!, which is pictured, and contains nylon fibers to provide the lashes with both length and volume. Additionally, there is another Lash Princess mascara as part of the range, with the original being hugely popular, and it now comes in a waterproof version! These retail for $7 each.

Essence has also brought out 12 new shades of single pan eyeshadows, retailing for $4 each. Amongst these shades are some that can also be found in the Crystal Power Eyeshadow Palette, so you can pick and choose what you like best to suit your needs. They've also relaunched their blush pans, which are now known as 'The Blush'! These come in 5 matt shades, and 1 with a pearly finish, going for $5 each. For the same price, you can splash out on one of their 2 highlighters, and add a luminescent glow to your cheekbones.

Another vegan product in the line is the Contouring Duo Palette, coming in at just $7, and available in 2 shades. As the name says, it's a duo palette, so you can create a bit more depth. And can I just say, I love that there are several vegan products in this line! You can also pucker up with their new Shine Shine Shine Lipgloss, which is meant to give a plumping effect, so you can have glossy full lips for the day.

Of course, when it comes to makeup, we always need to prep the skin by priming it first! So, it's a good thing that the Hydrating + Perfecting Primer is part of this range! With SPF 20 in it, this dropper bottle allows for getting out a precise amount of product, so you can keep your makeup on, without wasting a drop.

Now, I may have left the best to last - Essence has also really jumped onto the matching nude lips and nails wagon, with their This Is Me collection, and absolutely nailed it. This is comprised of a total of 7 lipsticks and 7 nail colours, and these can be easily paired with their shade numbers, so that you can pick up the right nail colour to go with the lipstick shade that you want, and vice versa! How amazing is that? The lipsticks are $4.50 each, while the nail polishes go for $3.50 per bottle.

Make sure you head to your closest Essence counter to pick up the new collection, because these lovelies won't last for long! What would you get from the range?
