Review: Mirenesse Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain

Hello beauties! Last week, I thought I'd steer away from my current love, red, red lips, for a more feminine, softer appearance. Entered the Mirenesse Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain in, from best guess through their website, number 34. I received this in my February Her Fashion Box, and, quite honestly, was happy to see it, as it's a) a new lippie b) from a brand that I don't use often!

First of all, I'd like you to admire the packaging! It came in a little peach and black paper bag, instructing you to get ready for your close up. Don't mind if I do!

Not to sound obsessive, but look at how cute the inside of the bag is! It's a bit of a lacey pattern, which immediately brings to mind a glamourous, boudoir-like setting. Seriously cute!

And here's where we get down to the good stuff! Out of the little paper bag poured the lippie and slips of paper, including 2 vouchers and 1 about the lip bomb itself.

This is Baby Prince, who decided to hijack the moment and sit on my arm just as I was trying a picture of the lipgloss swatch. Silly cat!

It may look reddish in this picture, but it's actually a pink gloss that looks a little orangey/pink from different angles. It also ends with a bit of a metallic finish, which adds a nice shine to it. The applicator isn't a doe foot type, but is made of the same material, but is shaped more like the number 8.

It's also quite creamy without being overly sticky. Without too much inteference (ie eating, drinking etc), I found that this lasted about 3 hours on me. This is great for a softer, girly-type look, with a bit of a kick. It doesn't appear to leave much of a stain on the lips, but it's very wearable all the same.

Again, I don't think that this quite does the lipgloss justice in term of it's colour, but you can see a lovely shine on my lips!

These babies retail for $39 and you can find them over here.

Have you tried anything from Mirenesse before? Would you be interested in the lip bombs?
