Review: Etude House I Need You! Bulgarian Rose Face Mask

Hello beauties! I thought I'd try to give my skin a bit of a boost at the end of last month by having an Etude House mask. As per the alphabet, starting with A (see here for my post on the aloe vera mask), I went on to B, which stood for brighter skin!

Actually, it was for Bulgarian Rose, which was meant to brighten the skin. Meant to contain rose extract from Bulgaria, it's supposed to add life and reduce dullness, restoring skin to it's beautiful petal-like softness.

It's not really very obvious in this picture, but there's a lot of serum in this packet. However, I did find that it was nowhere near as thick as the aloe mask and there was a bit of dripping. Thankfully, I did forsee this, and managed to get myself in front of a mirror prior to it getting all over the floor!

Nothing says glamour like a face mask shot! Like other Etude House masks that I've tried, it's definitely a small mask. I found this to have a mild rose water smell, and it certainly was not a terribly sticky one. The serum was really easy to pat down and was well absorbed by my skin.

The verdict? While it was pretty user friendly, I found that this didn't do quite as much for my skin as I was hoping it would. It didn't seem to reduce dullness much, but my skin seemed smoother and happy anyway. Not bad, but not my favourite.

What's your favourite mask for making your skin brighter? Have you tried any Etude House masks?

  3. I tried one of the whitening serums to get rid of some of my freckles (also claimed to even out skin tone and dullness)... I swear it did absolutely nothing!
