Review: The Face Shop Real Nature Mask Lemon

Hello gorgeous girls!
I thought I'd do a little post on a mask I got in a KK present from the lovely Citra over at FaithHopeLoving. For those who'd like to see what else I got, hop over here for a gander!

This lemon mask is from The Face Shop, which, incidentally, has a store in World Square here in Sydney! They do have quite a wide range of products, and if you're in the area, it's worth checking out! However, I don't believe they are a cruelty free range, so, sadly, I will be unlikely to purchase from them anytime soon.

So, onto the mask itself! What in it? On the back of the packet, it says that it contains 1000mg of fresh, ground lemon extract. Sounds promising, although one has to question just how fresh it can be in a packet.

This mask is supposed to brighten the skin through all the lovely vitamin C and reduce dullness to the skin tone.

When I opened it, there was just a good amount of serum without the drippage. It also fit on the face just right. The little holes designed for the eyes, nose and mouth were just right - this could, in fact, be the best fit for my face for a cloth mask! I found that I also didn't have to fold this under my chin.

The downside was the slightly cough medicine type scent that lingered while I had it on my face. I'm sure most of you are thinking of that lozenge smell that you always have when you open a fresh packet of it.

While the instructions were in Korean, it was easy enough to figure out with the accompanying diagrams. It indicated that I was to tap the remaining serum into my skin. I found that it still left a slightly sticky residue and ended up having to remove it by washing my face. My face also felt oddly tingly after I removed it.

Overall, while my skin did seem a little brighter, I didn't much care for the scent, or the residue. The fit, however, was excellent.

Have you tried anything from the Face Shop before? What's your favourite cloth mask?
