Feeling a little blue

Blue nail polish, that is! In honour of the weekend (did I need any other excuse?), I thought I'd do a lovely mani and pedi for myself, starting with some cuticle balm (Lemon Flutter by Lush, for those who are curious) and my Seacret buffing block, received in an earlier Lust Have It box.

I thought I'd do a bit of crackle with a small twist. For my fourth finger, as an accent nail, I used the following:

I used the O.P.I Natural Nail Base Coat, which my sister recommended and I love, love, love - this base dries in no time! I then put two layers of the silver Celeb City, part of the Sally Hansen Xtreme wear range, and put a coat of Nicole by O.P.I in Aquamarine Texture. I finished by placing a quick dry top coat by Essence, which, incidentally, is excellent in terms of living up to it's name!

For all the other nails, I used the same base coat and top coat, and placed two coats of Mermaid to Order by Sephora by O.P.I.

Here are my toes! It's an almost periwinkle colour in the picture, but it's more like a cross between that and a sky blue to me.

For my little piggies I went with the same base coat and top coat, and use my new Orly nail lacquer in Snowcone - that's just ONE layer, by the way! It was incredibly thick and opaque - very different to the two other nail polishes I've used by Orly in the past. I was really impressed!

That's my Friday nail story! What you wearing on your nails today? Are you a blue nail polish kind of girl?

Sorry to say but you don't show up on my GFC list, there must have gone something wrong while you tried to join. Would you please be so kind and try again. Thank you so much.

    1. Hi hon! I just checked and I'm definitely following you via GFC! It's not letting me do it again as I'm already signed in on your site. I don't know what's happening on your end - perhaps give it a few hours?

  6. I don't think I have any blue nail polishes! I never feel blue would match my skin so I don't have a lot of blue anything.. maybe a few navy coats. Nonetheless I do like it on you :)
