Review: Natralus Lip Butters

I've been blogging for over a decade now, and I can honestly tell you that there are brands that I always gravitate back towards, and it has been such a pleasure to feature a number of them on the blog over the years! I have been especially lucky in that through this blog, I've been introduced to a range of exciting and effective brands, including Natralus, which has been responsible for a fair few posts on the blog! I love their products, and I'm so excited to talk about what I once loved (and you can see that post over here), which has now been revamped - the Natralus Lip Butters!

I first wrote about them in 2016, and ten years later, it remains true - I do love these lip butters, and even though they now retail for $7.95 each, which is a bit of leap up from where they were a decade ago at $5.75, I would say that they are still worth every cent. Much like it was then, this still comes in four different flavours, except that instead of Cocoa Butter, it's now Papaya, with Strawberry, Honey and Vanilla and Coconut staying as they were.

These are still don't contain any petroleum, and they are packed with fresh fermented paw paw to help soothe and protect the lips, so that they can stay chap free and comfortable. The formula is also enriched with shea butter to help nourish the skin, while Vitamin E is supposed to aid in keeping the skin soft and conditioned. Rather than the brightly coloured tubes that they were originally dispensed in, these now come in white tubes with screw caps, bearing the names on the front.

I like the minimalistic aesthetic that these have now, but I must confess that I miss the vividly coloured tubes that they used to come in, because it was easy to identify which one I had every time I went fishing for it in the dark lining of my handbag. I could tell what flavour I was picking up without even needing to read the label! Aside from the tubes, I feel like the formula has also changed a little bit. While it's still very thick, and takes some effort to squeeze it out of the tube, I feel like this is easy to apply and doesn't clump in any particular spot.

I find these to smell lightly fragranced, mostly like paw paw, and I do love that these make my lips feel really soft and comfy. I use them daily, including as the last thing that I apply to my lips before hitting the hay, and I wake up to chap free, supple lips in the morning. I can confidently say that I love these as much as I loved the previous incarnation of them, and you can find more information about it over here. I highly recommend picking up one, or all, to try! What's your default flavour?
