Review: Jurlique Herbal Recovery Face Oil
Jurlique is truly a tried and tested brand that has been featured on the blog many times before, and given that it is a trusted household name, it should come as no surprise that they create a lot of really great products that perform quite well. I've been trying out a number of their products from the Herbal Recovery range recently, and one stand out for me in the crowd is the Herbal Recovery Face Oil, which is, quite frankly, a gorgeous oil that's worth splashing out on.
The Herbal Recovery Face Oil has been designed to perk up dull, tired skin, so that you can have brighter, firmer and more radiant skin, resulting in an even and improved complexion. This is a combination of various oils and botanicals, including Holy Basil, which has adaptogenic and antioxidant properties, so that it can help rejuvenate and revitalise the skin. There is iris root, echinacea and black elderflower as well to help keep the skin nourished. It also contains tomato fruit extract, and is filled with vitamins E and C, so it can add to the luminosity of the skin, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
The end goal, of course, is to be left with skin that is radiant, and more resilient against daily stressors. This oil comes in an amber glass bottle with a dropper applicator that has a decent amount of negative pressure, so you can actually get out enough product to cover the face and neck, which translates to about 5 drops for me. This has a lightweight texture, which means that it doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy, and it gets absorbed quickly.
Start by pressing this into the skin, then slowly massaging it in. I love that this has been helpful for getting my skin to feel more nourished and moisturised - that has honestly been fantastic for keeping my skin happy with the random cold snaps that we've had recently, and I can foresee myself using this into the colder months, until it runs out. This isn't a greasy oil, but similarly, it isn't a dry oil - instead, this is wonderfully balanced somewhere in between.
I also read somewhere that you can look at adding a few drops of this into your moisturiser, so that you can give it a bit of extra zing, which I haven't tried, but I thought it sounded quite nice! It's quite affordable, sitting at just $90 for 100 ml of product, particularly given the rate at which I've been using this. This is available at a number of retailers, both online and in store. I'm definitely keen to try out more from the same range! What's your favourite Jurlique product that you've repurchased?
