Review: Hola Seaweed Moisturising Eye Cream

A while back, I was asked if I was interested in trying some new skincare, and I leapt at the chance to! Hola follows the philosophy, 'The some simple and effective ingredients bring you the most natural and healthy skincare.' With that in mind, let's have a chat about their Seaweed Moisturising Eye Cream!

Made in Australia, the Seaweed Moisturising Eye Cream comes in a generously sized jar that contains 25g of product. The jar itself is blue, and the screw cap is designed to look like a cork, which is quite cute. Speaking of packaging, I also love that the inside of the box that it comes in, which has drawings of seaweed throughout it.

This makes sense, as this eye cream contains seaweed extract, which is meant to hydrate and improve skin firmness around the eyes, as well as reduce dark circles. If the eye cream itself is anything to go by, then 'firm' would hopefully be the desired result, because that's what I thought when I first opened the container!

The eye cream is a light blue, and I originally thought that the cream I got was off, because it was really firm, and had a slightly tougher than jelly consistency. As it turns out, it's exactly how it's meant to be, and by mixing and touching the eye cream with your fingers, it would disturb the consistency of it, thinning it out enough that you'd be able to get some out of the jar. Patting it, however, proved a little hard. It's actually a little easier to smooth, gently, over the skin that's under the eyes.

As far as hydration goes, I think this works really nicely for that! Particularly with this hot and cold weather that we're having this Winter, I find that this eye cream has been rich enough to prevent fine lines from creeping out, letting my peepers look well rested.

This retails for $29.00. You can find more of their products, and different ranges, over here. They also have a store in Melbourne, where you can actually get your hands on their testers and try them out!

What have you tried from Hola? What's the most interesting eye cream you've ever tried?
