Review: Olay Super Serum Night Repair

If I were limited to having just one skincare product, say, if I were stranded on a desert island and somehow managed to snag one item to do all the heavy lifting, I think I would be hoping that it would be a really good serum, something that would work it's hardest to get my skin looking it's best. I know that good skin wouldn't be my primary concern if I were stuck on an island all by myself, there would obviously be so much more to be worried about, like starvation, I mean, I'd be hoping to find a phone too, so that I could actually get off that dang island, but you get what I mean.

And if you're feeling lost, here's what I actually mean - if you're a lazy girl, someone who's low on time, looking to streamline your skincare routine, or simply trying to save some dough by buying less, but not wanting to compromise on what you're doing for your skin, then the one investment you should be looking to put some money towards, when it comes to skincare, should be your serum. It's the one thing that may carry the team, treating targeted concerns.

The serum of choice this week is the Olay Super Serum Night Repair, and I'm going to say - colour me duly impressed! It's supposed to have five night serum benefits, all squeezed into one convenient little package. This is meant to moisturise the skin overnight, aid in smoothing the skin, reducing the appearance of dark spots, improve the look of wrinkles and fine lines and help with faster surface turnover.

To do so, this has the corresponding number of key ingredients to help your skin get there. It contains salicylic acid, peptide, glycerin, niacinamide and lactic acid - a blend of very good things to help your skin glow and shine it's very best. It's then packaged into a small, circular bottle with a dropper applicator that produces a shiny, opalescent serum with each squeeze, making it a beautiful serum to look at, not just a serum to make your face beautiful. This is easy to spread over the skin, and it gets absorbed very quickly.

I love that this does make my skin look a little dewy with just by applying it, and I appreciate that my skin does not seem to react to it at all. My skin is very comfortable with this, and I love that my skin does seem  to stay well balanced with this. It's not a game changer, by any means, but this is a serum that does seem to understand my skin's needs, and it attends to it very nicely, keeping it happy without adding anything radical to it. This retails for about $35 per bottle, and it is widely available where Olay can be found. What serum would you pack for a desert island situation?
