Review: Antipodes Divine Face Oil Rosehip & Avocado Oil

There are some brands where it's like heading home when you try something from them again, and Antipodes is definitely one of them. Antipodes is a brand that I started off using at the very beginning of my blogging journey, and it's been so lovely to watch them expand and grow, adding new products to their range. For a change, though, I thought I'd go back to one of their earlier products, one that I've used a number of times over the years, and never got around to writing up. Today, I'm talking about the Divine Face Oil Rosehip & Avocado Oil.

Rosehip is one of those ingredients that is best known as an anti-ager that's filled with essential fatty acids, so it's of no surprise that this particular oil is designed to help target fine lines, scars and wrinkles, while also aiding in nourishing skin. It's made to help replenish dry, tired skin, and boost collagen production, so that you can glow again! Made for all skin types, this carries the fragrance of ylang ylang, jasmine and sweet orange, which makes for a very soothing experience at the end of a long day.

The other hero ingredient in this is avocado oil, which is moisturising and nourishing, while there's also macadamia oil for the softening and plumping the skin. This comes in an amber bottle containing 30 ml of product with a dropper built into the cap. The suction is surprisingly powerful, and I find myself using only about 1/3 of what gets taken up into the glass vial. The oil is quite rich, but actually, not thick or greasy, which I really appreciate.

This stunning oil feels lovely and smooth on my skin, and doesn't make it feel tacky once it dries down, nor is it too oily, which really delights me. The oil is a very herbal green, and my skin feels smooth and nourished, as well as brighter, with it on. I would certainly categorise this as an oldie, but a goodie, and I can't believe that didn't write this up sooner! It retails for $46 for 30 ml of product, and it can be purchased via their website and also found at Priceline.

For those who may be new to Antipodes, or might just be in need of a refresher, another good reason to reach for something from the brand would be that they are a certified vegan product by VegSoc, which is the Vegetarian Society of UK, as well as certified organic by BioGro New Zealand, which is the Pacific's largest and best known certifier of organic produce and products. They also use 100% eco-inks from vegetables on their cardboard boxes, and the bottle that this oil comes in is recyclable. I can't wait to see what else Antipodes churns out over the years! What's your favourite Antipodes product?
