Review: Innisfree Volcanic Swirl Pore Mask
Hurray for Summer! Now that we're in December, and we're sliding towards Christmas, I can feel the heat and humidity practically climbing into my pores. Descriptive? Yes, but it truly feels like that! And to add to the mix, it is also about now that I start to sweat throughout the day. This means that I have to use products that will help keep my skin balanced and stop it from getting too oily in this heat. This time, I've been using the Innisfree Volcanic Swirl Pore Mask.
Recently purchased from Adore Beauty, I was enticed to add it to my cart after reading the key benefits associated with this mask. It's meant to help remove excess oil, dirt and impurities, as well as gently exfoliate dead skin cells around pores. This is also meant to help hydrate, while purifying the skin, and improve the texture of the skin, balancing oil levels. What I find exciting about this is that it's actually a blend of volcanic cluster clay with a moisturising essence, so that it can help combat congestion and excess sebum without stripping the skin and drying it out.
When I say that it's a blend, it actually looks kind of like that toothpaste that was really popular for a while when you squeeze it out of the tube - stripes of blue and beige, and this spreads over the skin easily. The formula has Jeju Volcanic Clusters™ and AHA complex to help smooth the skin, while there's also hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to help keep hydration in the skin. I love that this comes in a tube with a screw cap, making it quite secure, and this has a bit of a gritty texture to it, which makes it feel like it's exfoliating my skin when I massage it around my face as I apply it.
To use this, simply apply it to clean, dry skin and let it sit for about three and five minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. It's recommended that this gets used once to twice a week to get the best results. I love that this seems to leave my skin feeling soothed and less oily than before, and that my skin doesn't look shiny and feels better balanced as a result.
Innisfree is now so accessible, you can find it at various retailers, including Priceline, Adore Beauty and Sephora. I would wager that this may be the one Korean beauty brand that is the easiest to get your hands on here in Australia! It retails for about $35, and I love that I've discovered this just in time for the hottest months of the year! Do you have a Summer mask that you fall back on?
