Review: d'Alba White Truffle First Aromatic Spray Serum
We're just two days away from the end of the year - does anyone have any plans for New Years' Eve? As someone who stopped going out on NYE a while back, I certainly don't have any plans that don't involved sitting around in my home with my baby (cat), and that's just how I like it! The best part about staying indoors is that I don't have to worry about taking my makeup off, because it's not even going on in the first place, and I can be totally cosy, while marinating in my skincare!
I'm all about comfort and self care these days, and taking mindful moments for yourself, and sometimes, when the days are relentless and long, there wouldn't be much time available to disconnect from your day and work, and find a few seconds to centre your mind. What that means is that it has to come in the form of however you can get it on those days, and occasionally, that means taking a few moments to breathe in and out, while trying not to lose your mind. And it helps for me to be doing something else at the same time, such as by breathing in something gorgeous, or bathing in a bit of moisture.
Thankfully, the d'Alba White Truffle First Aromatic Spray Serum has been a lovely addition to my skincare, and mindful exercise, rotation, and it's been helping me beat the blues a little, while also striving to keep my skin happy. This is a 3-in-1 spray that acts as a hydrating mist, nourishing serum and setting spray, and it's supposed to give deep hydration to the skin, enabling moisture retention, as well as promoting a youthful glow.
It's infused with white truffles from Piedmont, Italy, which is rich in antioxidants, and that's meant to help enhance skin firmness and hydration, while the inclusion of Tocopherol (Vitamin E) is to help protect the skin against environmental aggressors, in addition to improving the skin resilience. This comes packaged as a dual-layer product, where there's a thin layer of oil floating on the top, which means you need to shake this up prior to spritzing it. While the clear plastic cap feels a little cheap, the ultra fine mist pump makes up for it by ensuring the user that the spray can cover the skin evenly in a thin veil of product.
This is brilliantly scented, and while I can't quite describe it, it's almost a floral fragrance that doesn't linger in the air. I love that this feels light and refreshing on the skin and doesn't leave it moist or wet to the touch, nor does it disturb any bits of makeup on the skin. As a pick me up during the day, this is truly beautiful, and I love that this has does leave my skin feeling soft and refreshed. As a setting spay, I feel like this doesn't work as well as I'd like for it to, which is a little sad, but not a deal breaker. This vegan K-beauty spray retails for $56 and you can find it at different places, including Adore Beauty. What's your preferred midday skin spray?
