Review: L'Oreal Plump Ambition Hyaluron Lip Oil
Hello, my first love! After all this time, there's truly nothing like opening a brand new lip product, lifting that gloss wand, or lipstick, to the lips, and waiting to see if it would be love at first swipe. I've always loved lippies, probably because it's among one of the first, if not the first, products that I've ever tried on my face. It might have been when I used my mother's lipstick, or for that first dance performance with cakey make up on (but feeling so special), or simply that it can make such a dramatic difference with just one application, but lipsticks really hold a special place in my heart.
Over time, of course, the word lipstick expanded to mean more than just your traditional lipstick. It now included lip glosses and lip oils, and loosely has lip balms somewhere in the orbit as well. Essentially, when I now think of lipsticks, I also think of all other lips products, and I adore every single permutation of it. My heart races every time I trot out a newbie, and it's been a while since something new has glazed my lips, and I'm so happy that I've now broken my drought with the L'Oreal Plump Ambition Hyaluron Lip Oil!
This was a gift from a friend, when we were talking about why her lips looked so shiny and lovely, and she surprised me with my very own the next time we met up - how sweet is that! I'm constantly reminded by the things that people do, of how lucky I am that I am surrounded by strong, wonderful women who look out for one another. Sorry to be so mushy, but a good lippie will do that to you! What exactly is the Plump Ambition Hyaluron Lip Oil, and why are you on the brink of falling in love? Let me tell you all about it!
This is a hybrid product that promises to nourish the lips while hitting it with a high shine gloss that will have you blinding passersby with reflected light. It is also supposed to boost the volume of your lips and help keep them moisturised, so that your pout is ready to go. All that, and a tint on top of it to add a bit of colour? Sign me up! This comes in ten shades, and it's in a classic lip gloss packaging that is clear, revealing it's colour, and a silver cap that has a wand applicator built into it.
As you might have guessed it, the formula is infused with hyaluronic acid, which is part of why it helps to keep the lips feel moisturised. This leaves my lips looking incredibly glossy and shiny, but not sticky. I do find that this results in my lips tingling a little bit, but it's not an unpleasant sensation and it doesn't last for long. You can use this on it's own, or over your lipstick, and now that I've tried it, I'm curious about the other shades - it's definitely a gateway lippie that leaves you wanting more! It's hugely accessible and can be found for $29.99 where L'Oreal is available, including Priceline and Adore Beauty. Does this sound like something that you'd use?
