Review: Innisfree Cherry Blossom Glow Jam Cleanser
When you think of cherry blossoms, what does that bring to mind? I think for a lot of us, Spring springs to mind! The idea of flying over to Japan to experience the magic of cherry blossom season, seeing golden light filter through the trees in the cool weather is something that we'd all love to do - or at least the romanticised version, where there aren't crowds jostling for space, and you don't have to look down while you're shuffling your feet along to watch where you're going. Alas, for many of us, that dream is currently out of reach, myself included. At least until then, we have Innisfree Cherry Blossom Glow Jam Cleanser to keep us happy!
Innisfree is, by this point in Australia, a household name that can be found at multiple retailers, including Sephora, Adore Beauty and Priceline. I remember when this was a brand that I had to stock up on whenever I headed back to Singapore to visit my folks! Now, it only takes me a few days to get this when I buy it online, or I can simply stroll into a store to grab what I need, including the Innisfree Cherry Blossom Glow Jam Cleanser!
This is a gel cleanser, like the name would suggest, that's meant to hydrate the skin, while helping you get your glow! The formula is infused with cherry blossom leaf extract, which is meant to help brighten the skin, so that you can have clear and radiant skin. It also has beet-derived betained, which is also supposed to help you achieve smooth and silky skin after each wash, getting rid of excess impurites. This is suitable for babes with normal to dry skin, which is where I fall, and it's appropriate to be used twice daily.
This comes in a white tube with a flip lid, and lettering in a rose pink, making this design both minimalistic and pretty. To use this, simply squeeze a small pea-sized amount into the palm of your hand, then lather it up with some water, massaging it into the skin in circular motions, working it around the contours of the face. Once you're done, rinse it off, and you're ready to go! This has a hint of a floral scent, which dissipates quickly.
It's definitely not a gel cleanser that would dry out the skin. Instead, this actually does do what the label suggests - it leaves my skin feeling smooth and clear. I don't know that it's made a big difference to the luminosity of my skin, but I do think that it's been helping keep my pores clear. Overall, this is quite a nice cleanser - not one that would change a lot for me, but it's a pleasant and affordable cleanser, coming in at $20 for 150ml. What would you recommend from Innisfree?
