Review and GIVEAWAY: Zk'in Rejuvenating Moisturiser and Line Smoothing Serum
Trying new skincare is generally something that is treated with lots of fanfare - after all, how can someone possibly not love trying out something they haven't used before? That's exactly how I felt when I was given the chance to trial products from Zk'in!
The Zk'in Line Smoothing Serum and the Rejuvenating Moisturiser both come in similar packaging - in an upright tube with a cap that can be detached and a pump to get the product out. While I love that they are more hygienic than a jar, the pump can be a little tricky in that there is often a bit of product that still comes out when the pump is released.
The packaging aside, I find it hard to fault the products themselves! The Line Smoothing Serum is meant to minimise wrinkles, and since I started using it, I have noticed that the under eye area looks better than it did before, in that the puffiness isn't as pronounced, and the dark circles aren't quite as noticeable. I couldn't really tell you about the wrinkles, given that I don't really have many to begin with, but overall, I've been happy with the results!
The formula is light, and gets absorbed quickly. This contains Gatuline Expression, which is an extract of the Paracress plant of Madagascar, and not something that I have seen in other skincare products, and this is what is meant to help smooth the appearance of wrinkles. It also has aloe vera, rosehip seed oil and bitter fruit extract, among other ingredients. This retails for $59.95 for 25ml.
The Rejuvenating Moisturiser, which is suitable for normal to dry skin, is meant to increase elasticity and smooth out wrinkles. Containing organic Brown Seaweed Extract, which has fucoidian and calcium, as well as organic Thistle Extract, these come together to help with skin regeneration, reduce water loss and increase moisture in the skin. I've been using it as my night moisturiser, and the consistency is relatively thin, which means that it doesn't sit on the skin for long. I also like that it really does moisturise my face nicely, and it's thin enough to be used in warmer months. This retails for $49.95 for 50 ml.
Both products contain over 90% organic ingredients, and I love that they have a few tenets that they stand by, including:
1) Not tested on animals
2) Sustainable palm oil
3) Sulphates and paraben free
4) Petrochemical free
5) Made in Australia
6) Vegan
...among other things!
