Beauty Through the Decades - 1950s with Temporary Princess
Who doesn't love the transformative power of makeup? I know I do - I play around with it all the time! Recently, a gorgeous blogger put forward the idea of picking an era and running with it, so, in collaboration with some other wonderful blogger babes, I put my hand up to participate, and went in for the 1950s! For a read through all the other blogs involved, scroll down to the bottom!
I tried this hair style previously and found it so easy to do, I wanted to do it again! I got it from this YouTube video by Cherry Dollface - she's got some excellent, really easy to follow videos that will inspire people to don their cutest polka dot outfits and get their curlers out!
By the way, please excuse the messiness of the background - I really wanted to get decent shots of the makeup, and the best lighting happened to be in the bedroom!
Here's what I used to get this look:
Bourjois Blush in Lilas d'Or *
Anastasia Brow Wiz in Dark Brown
YSL Rouge pur Couture lipstick in 01
YSL Rouge pur Couture lipstick in 01
Bourjois Felt-tip Eyeliner in Noir *
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
MUD Skin Perfecting Primer *
And here's everything I used for the hair - really not much at all, and just about every beauty blogger would have something they could use to create it:
Remington Salon Pro Curls Collective *
Toni & Guy Texturising Glue
Lee Stafford Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist
Models Prefer Comb
Lady Jayne Teasing Brush *
Scarf (from Typo, I think? It's pretty old)

I had so much fun doing this look, and it really wasn't very time consuming, including the hairdo. I'm tempted to try a couple of other looks in the next few months, just to see how they turn out! On a side note, I'm actually wearing a proper vintage dress, just to get in the spirit of things!
Of course, there are also all these other chickie babes who have created phenomenal makeup looks, so be sure to check them out over here:
1920 with The Fanciful Fungirl
1960 with Made Over and Me
1980 with Fashionista in Surburbia
1990 with Aussie Beauty Talk
Futuristic with Sweetaholic Beauty
