Volumize Those Tresses with Ambiance Dry Shampoo *
Dry shampoo has become a bit of a staple in my arsenal of beauty weapons over the years, and I have tried a variety of them, from scented to tinted to normal to volumising, but always in a can, and to date, I've never tried one that's a straight up powder, making this a change from the norm!
Ambiance Dry Shampoo is a vegan product that comes in four different shades, and a tint free powder, which is suitable for every hair colour. I like that it is marketed as a versatile product, meaning that it's:
1) a dry shampoo, suitable for de-slicking that hair on a greasy day
2) great for volumizing the hair when it's dull and flat
3) excellent for covering regrowths and greys
4) compact and travel friendly, as it's not an aerosol
5) conceals thinning hir
Now, given that I have ridiculously huge amounts of hair, I wouldn't know about it concealing thinning hair, but I can attest for everything else! Aside from the obvious de-greasing ability of this product, which I quite like, the other thing that I adore about this is the volumizing side effect!
I fell in love with it the first time I floofed up my hair - just that bit more of oomph and bounce - and I noticed this even before I read what it was meant to do, so I knew it was effective!
One of the downsides with this, however, would be that when I tried the black powder, I found it both a little messy, and being a notorious hair toucher, I was disappointed, but not surprised, when some of it came off onto my hands. I have also found the tint free powder to create a bit of a greyish cast, but I could brush it into the hair after giving it a few goes.
I can overlook those small points, however, given that I do love everything else about this! I also love how each box contains a little leaflet and details on how to use it for different things. You don't have to throw it away after using it up, either, because you can just buy the refills - how clever is that? Even better, the top ups are $39.95, but you get twice the amount, so 28g instead of 14g!
These retail for $34.95 and you can pick it up at Priceline, Hair House Warehouse, Price Attack and Go Vita, as well as online here.
Have you tried this before? Would you get one with a colour?

I've been meaning to try this out for a while! I'd probably get a tint (mine would be brown) and maybe the non-tinted one if I felt like it, but I think the tint would come in handy once my regrowth comes through & my pesky greys crop up. I like the fact that it's not alcohol based either as that's my big issue with "normal" dry shampoos - they irritate my scalp big time.
ReplyDeleteI think my sister is a little sensitive too, as she also prefers powders.
DeleteThis is perfect for traveling!!! I think the translucent powder is the way to go!
ReplyDeleteI love that it doubles as a volumiser, which is what I need!
DeleteI'm a huge fan of dry shampoo but don't know if I could spend $35 on it. Love that it volumises too though!
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my favourite parts of it!
