Review: MUD Gel Liner and Matte Lip Cream *

In the course of grocery shopping, I often skip off into the beauty aisle on the pretext of getting tissues while doing a quick scan of what's new and on offer. On these excursions, I have glimpsed the brand MUD, but never really considered purchasing anything from the line, so naturally, I was curious when I was offered the chance to try out some of their products.

I love matte lip creams, so I was very excited to see this in my mailbox! It's a pretty and very feminine pink, and glides on very smoothly. Sadly, I found that it didn't dry down completely, and I also found that it got a little patchy, as you'd sometimes expect with matte lip creams, but even more so. This also settled in the lines a bit.

I did find that the colour became a little more opaque when applied a couple of times, which was good. This retails for $5, and it can be found in Woolworths.

I also tried out the gel liner, and let me tell you - it's one that you really should track down! It comes in a little plastic pot with a cap that has a hidden brush, so you can use it on the go.

Using the brush provided, I proceeded to put it on the lids and they went on smoothly, and didn't budge ONCE! There was no smudging, a little bit of wear after 8 hours, and it was incredibly easy to work with,

For $8, this is definitely worth adding to your arsenal of products. It glides on, doesn't have a funny scent and has now quickly become a favourite of mine. This can also be found in Woolworths.
