Review: Peach and Lily Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser
If there's one thing that I do take for granted, that I really shouldn't, it's that my skin has been, and remains in, very good shape. Some would say it's luck, others might think that it's genetic. Me, I feel it's probably a multi-factorial situation, and that I was given a good foundation by my mother, and I've managed to build on that quite nicely with my never ending revolving door of skincare products! There's also, of course, a tiny part of me that this that this might be due, in part, to never sleeping in my makeup.
Well, not quite never, but slipping up just under 10 times over the many years that I've been alive isn't really that often, so it's probably as close to never as I could get! My method of keeping my skin clean and free of schmutz has evolved over the years, going from using baby lotion to take my makeup off when we were kids and had dance recitals, to makeup wipes to a far more complex system involving multiple steps and a variety of skincare products. One of the most important steps would definitely have to be the cleanser, and Peach and Lily is here because this K-beauty brand has me wanting to try more!
Peach and Lily wants to give you the #GlassSkinGoals of your dreams, and they've even put an entire kit together for that purpose, which I was very lucky to receive. The first thing I was thrilled to get my hands on, though, was the Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser, because this is a beautifully gentle cleanser that is sitting at the affordable price of $29 for 100 ml of product. This cleanser has been formulated so that it can help neutralise red undertone and soothe and shield the skin, so that it's not inflamed or irritated.
This cleanser comes in a red and white flip lid tube, and the lightweight, water-based gel formula contains dual cleansing agents to help get rid of impurities. It comes out as a gel texture, which turns milky white when mixed with water. There's a mild just about floral scent when I squeeze some out, which makes sense, given that there's a blend of camellia and chamomile, as well as lavender, included in the formula. There's also cucumber to help soothe and balance the skin, and the pH is a skin friendly 5.5.
Meant for all skin types, including oily, dry and normal skin, this covers a lot of ground. As a normal to dry skin girly, I find this to be very soft and soothing on me, and leaves my skin feeling smooth and lovely. I really like that this isn't harsh, and doesn't strip my skin of it's natural oils, and that my skin doesn't end up feeling stretched and tight. Overall, it's been a pleasure to use, and Peach and Lily is definitely a brand to keep your eye on! Head to their website to learn more about the brand. What's the first thing you'd go for?
