Review: Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil *

Shu Uemura is one of those cult brands that has a counter that I enjoy lurking around, because everything that they produce is incredibly pretty and there's always some niche product that I feel like I have to have in my life.

Today's offering definitely fits into that category, and can I just say, I didn't know that I needed it until I tried it? Don't let me just talk at you - let me talk to you about what this cleansing oil really is like!

This comes in a gorgeous amber-coloured pump bottle that contains 450 ml of cleansing oil. You can apply this to wet or dry skin (just make sure that your skin isn't too wet when you put it on), smooth it over the skin, dampen your face to emulsify the oil, then rinse it off.

What hit me first when applying this to the skin was the scent of the oil - it's a gorgeous, rose-type smell that covers your skin and lingers slightly afterwards. The oil is easy on the skin and I love that it cleans my face while actually moisturising it. The upside is that it doesn't feel like an oil slick afterwards either - not filmy at all.

I think the name pretty much speaks for itself - sublime beauty cleansing oil would be right! Adding to how cool the bottle is, it's also constructed with at least 75% post-consumer recycled plastic.

I'm really enjoying the smooth texture of this cleansing oil and I feel like it's also working well on my skin. You can pick this up from the 10th of January at David Jones and I believe it retails around $125.00.

Have you tried a cleansing oil before? What is your favourite Shu Uemura product?

Do you know if this one has mineral oil in it? Some of the Shu ones do.
