In Rotation: Hand Creams

Welcome to my very first In Rotation! While I've had similar posts before, I'm going to try and make a concerted effort to show you what I have open and what I'm currently using!

To get started, I'm talking about hand creams today, and boy do I have hand creams! I remember a time prior to being beauty blogger when I thought that having two hand creams open was excessive. Silly me - those were the lean days. Now, I'm all about variety!

Here's what I have on the go so far this year:

Mecca Cosmetica Hands On Transforming Hand Cream - I love the perfumed scent of this! It has a bit of a luxe scent to it, which I really appreciate. This goes over the fingers really smoothly and it leaves them soft and beautifully scented.

Nivea Anti Age Q10 Hand Cream - I feel somewhat underwhelmed by Nivea hand creams, I have to say. Whether it's because the ones I've tried so far have all been fairly thin and not particularly rich, they haven't been particularly exciting.I do like the slightly sweetish smell of this though. I'm liking this enough for Summer so far as it's relatively light and doesn't make my skin feel particularly 'covered'.

Natio Lavender and Rosemary Hand and Nail Cream - Not one of my favourite Natio products, sadly. This one has a bit of a heavy herbal scent and the medium type consistency means that it gets absorbed well enough, but is thin enough to not be overly hydrating.

Lush Helping Hands - This hand cream is great for those looking for a bit of extra moisture. I find this formula a little greasy and takes a while for things to get absorbed, but it does a great job of hydrating the fingertips and cuticles.

Natura Siberica Lifting Hand Cream - See full review here. I wish this had a flip lid instead of a screw cap, but aside from that, the scent certainly makes me reach for it on a regular basis!

QV SPF 15 Hand Cream - My only hand cream with SPF 15 in it! I will fully admit to being one of those people who primarily use hand creams at night, and therefore, don't really consider having SPF in it. I really should pay more attention to SPF hand creams, though, given that I don't want my hands to age prematurely! This is a lovely one to start with, if you're after an SPF one! See full review here.

And that's it! What are you currently slathering on your hands? Do you do it during the day too, or just at night?

  1. I use hand creams all day everyday, sometimes when we go to bed my husband asks me to pass him my bedside hand cream ;)

  2. I haven't tried anything from Mecca's own range, but who doesn't like a handcream with a luxe scent? I swear I almost always tend to pick hand and body products based on their scent :P

  4. Hand cream is one of my must-haves, especially since I get dry hands often after I wash them. Most nights I go to bed with it + a pair of cotton gloves on. Normally I use Botani's hand cream, but I've run out so I'm using one from Argania which I think will become my new alternative.

  5. I've only tried the Nivea one from the ones you've mentioned but I too have hand creams opened everywhere... Most are not within reach so I don't use them much lol.

  6. I'm glad I'm not the only one with about ten different hand creams on rotation!

I actually haven't tried any of these, surprisingly enough!

I'm currently using several different ones from L'Occitane and Crabtree & Evelyn, plus my Tokyomilk Dark one. :)
