Review: Shanghai Suzy - Autumn/Winter Range

Beautyholics, I'm sure you're all as excited as  I was when a much awaited collection becomes available. I was pretty stoked when I found out that Shanghai Suzy had a new set of lipsticks and like any good little addict would do, I hopped online straight away and bought the entire set!

Miss Kat 90's Cappuccino; Miss Tanielle Desert Rose; Miss Cassandra Peony; Miss Sanja Fuschia; Miss Nina Sparkling Coral; Miss Victorine Classic Red; Miss Veronica Sparkling Plum; Mrs French Winter Maroon

Aren't they just spectacular? I've been a fan of Shanghai Suzy for the longest time, and this collection is much more wearable for me, given that it's darker shades than the last one. Here's what they look like up close.

Miss Kat 90's Cappuccino comes in the matte formula. Don't let the picture fool you - this particular lippie may not look very exciting, but it's actually a great nudish brown.

How beautiful is this shade? Miss Tanielle comes in the matte formula, and is a bit of a 'my lips but better' - definitely appropriately named.

Miss Cassandra is a great pink shade that is relatively muted, and is perfect in the nourish formula! Just a little something pretty on the lips!

Miss Sanja is a colour that I already have, but this particular one has extra jojoba oil added to it to add a little something extra to keep the lips happy in the matte formula.

Miss Nina Sparkling Coral isn't actually orange, like this picture reflects. It is as the name would suggest - a coral shade. This is the type of bright colour that Winter needs to add a little pop of something. The formula is also a new one - this comes in shimmer - and sadly, is probably my least favourite one.

The formula is harder than the usual buttery lippies I've come to expect from Shanghai Suzy, and there isn't quite the same opacity either. Additionally, I find that I have to go over the lips a couple of times to achieve the shade I want.

Miss Victorine Classic Red is as it sounds - a classic red in the matte formula. I'm a firm believer that every girl should have a red that fits them, and this is a gorgeous red!

Miss Veronica Sparkling Plum also comes in the shimmer formula, and is a purple-ish shade that isn't as opaque as others in the collection, which makes it more of an everyday lip colour. Like Miss Nina above, I find the formula not as easy to work it.

Mrs French Winter Maroon is a darker red than Miss Victorine, and is definitely a vampy colour, and just the kind of colour I'll be reaching for over the next few months!

As you can see, these shades are all great alongside my skin tone - winning!

Each lipstick retails for $12.95 and you can get them online at the Shanghai Suzy website and at Miss Pearl Store.

Are you excited about this range? Would you get the entire collection or just specific colours?
