Review: Avene Hyaluron Activ B3 Multi-Intensive Night Cream
Mondays! Sometimes I love them, sometimes, not so much. There was a time when I tried to actively reprogramme my brain to think that Mondays truly, really weren't as bad as that major cat icon, Garfield made it out to be, and while that was the case for quite a while, it's sadly not a consistent thing. There is one thing that makes the morning a little easier, at least, and that's knowing that a good night's sleep with great skincare would give me a fantastic head start for the day, and possibly week!
I bought the Avene Hyaluron Activ B3 Multi-Intensive Night Cream when Priceline was having a sale, and I honestly have no regrets about it! Marketed as a multi-tasking night cream with retinal, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, this is meant to help improve the visible signs of ageing, such as fine lines, wrinkles, skin texture and skin tone - all while you're snoozing the night away! This also means that you get to wake up with firmer, more radiant, softer skin.
Being an Avene product, this contains Avene Thermal Spring Water, of course, and this is known for helping to soothe and soften the skin. There is also retinal to help improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, while niacinamide can even out the skin tone and texture. Hyaluronic acid is known to help moisturise and plump the skin, while smoothing it out, and there is also haritaki extract, which is supposed to be chock full of antioxidants.
This comes in a fat, round pump bottle that contains 40 ml of product. In order to lock it, you have to twist the cap in one direction, and turn it the other way to open it, making it a clever design for those looking to travel with this. The opening is surprisingly narrow, and while the directions say to use about 2 pumps for the face, I find about 5 pumps to be enough for the face, neck and decolletage. This leaves my skin feeling smooth and velvety, and I really love this!
It doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy, nor is it too light, and it doesn't mix with any other skincare products, which I appreciate. While it's not a particularly cheap cream, this is also not prohibitively expensive, sitting at about $74, and Avene is also quite often on sale, or available as part of a promotional offer where you might be able to snag yourself a gift with purchase. This is available at various retailers, including Adore Beauty and Priceline. Is this something you'd use?
