Review: Philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker Multi-Rejuvenating Retinol+Superfood Oil and Pads

What exactly is the Philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker Multi-Rejuvenating Retinol+Superfood Oil and Pads? It's a night time solution that is meant to help fight the key signs of ageing - those include lines, wrinkles and discoloration, as well as enlarged pores, roughness, loss of firmness and radiance. Sounding good so far?

This helps to nourish the outer layer of the skin, and to also soften it, through the combination of their 'superfood oils', made up of pomegranate, olive, argan and Amazonian sacha inchi oils. These also help combat the typical dryness that comes as a side effect of retinol. The pure retinol in it is paired with a retinol-like complex that originates from alfalfa extract, and these target the major signs of ageing.

It's quite fun, because this comes in two pieces, so you don't have to worry about the pads drying out before you get around to using it. You pour the bottle of fluid into the jar of cotton pads containing 60 pieces, then run through it at will. Easy! The pads themselves are quite thin, but durable, and can be used to be wiped over the skin thoroughly. The product is, as you might have guessed, relatively oily, but light enough that it's easy to be absorbed.

The end result? Smooth skin that is soft to the touch! While I haven't noticed a big difference to the skin in regards to wrinkles and discolouration, I do love that it does leave the skin feeling softer - I'm a little sad I'm running out of it!

This retails for $95 and you can find it at David Jones, or online over here. What have you tried from Philosophy? What's your favourite goody from them?
