Christmas Gift Guide 2016: Hampers and Presents Over $50
If you're still stuck for ideas after that seriously long gift guide, then stick around, because I'm about to hit you with a couple of other winners!
If the one you're buying for is a brush obsessed makeup addict (and I honestly don't know many who aren't!), then It Cosmetics' brush set is going to blow her mind! For $110, you could be handing her the tools to a better makeup look, smoother finish and just overall happiness!
If matte lippies are up her alley, you really need to get your hands on this set from Kat Von D! I love, love, love the formula, and this particular set contains 8 mini lippies for the grand total of $75. These stay, aren't terribly drying, and they also come in some gorgeous shades. You can grab them at Sephora, but run, as these are limited edition and they won't last for long!
If you work on the one for me, one for you principle, or if the one you're buying for has all the colours in the world and you have no idea if the shades are something she would wear, then this would make a great present for them! At $52, this won't bankrupt you, and hey, if you're lucky, she might even share this with you! This can be found at Mecca Maxima.
Another Mecca find is this all matte hotshot from Urban Decay. The Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette retails for $90, and it's filled with 12 matte shades that will have you and yours looking smokin' in no time! For the girl who has every Naked palette, grab her the newest one on the market!
One of my most popular pictures on Instagram ever is the one above, and it's not hard to see why! This It Cosmetics * Je Ne Sais Quoi Complexion Perfection Face Palette retails for $62 at Sephora, and it has 4 different powders. These include a bronzer, Bye Bye Pores blush, highlighter and Bye Bye Pores pressed powder. This will have the recipient with their holiday glow - all without the help of sunshine!
If limited edition is what gets her little heart beating faster, then you really can't go wrong with Tarte's Christmas offering! This kit will have her covered from eyeshadows to blushes to mascara - just right for someone who likes to have it all when they are on the go! This set retails for $84 from Sephora.
Nuxe makes one of the most deliciously scented oils, and this particular parcel delivers that scent without the oil, so you can keep that fragrance on you at all times! This also houses a candle that will have your house smelling incredible! This retails for $69.95 and I would run, not walk, for this one!
Need to buy something for a family that regularly hits the beach? Make sure you keep them sun safe with SunSense *! Grab them in different formulas, as well as something for after they get a little too much sun, and don't forget the little ones! Include a little something to cover those lips as well, and you're all sorted! Everything pictured above retails for under $70 - bit of a bargain, if you ask me!
Putting together your own QV * skincare hamper is another great idea for those who might need a hand for getting their skincare routine on track. My husband is a good example of this - he wasn't keen on moisturisers until I started him on the oil free moisturiser from QV and that remains his favourite ever! A Foaming Cleanser, Day Cream, Night Cream and Lip Balm would be a good place to start for either gender, and for men, you could also include a Rescue Gel for the men, to help soothe irritated skin post shaving. This won't break the bank, and would look cute in a basket filled with blue and silver tinsel.
And what would Christmas be without a mention of Bhave * haircare? They have a range of haircare packs that range from $99.95 to $115.95 (valued at higher than that) and these target a specific need, including a Treat Me, Style Me kit, a Moisture Surge set and one for adding body to the hair. The hardest part would be just picking one! These all come with a gorgeous little clutch as well, just right for this time of year!
If you're low on ideas, why not buy them an experience instead? Spa.com.au * will allow your loved one to book in for something like a massage, allowing them to destress from the day! You can purchase them in $50 or $100 denominations. This is such a clever idea, and I'll actually be looking to do a follow up post, so stay tuned!
Ultimately, for the beauty.skincare junkie, a Mecca gift card would have them hugging, screaming and crying - trust me, no matter how much makeup they have, it would still be totally appropriate! You can get denominations between $25 to $1000 and this year, they'd give you a hand cream for any amount above $50. Winning!
I really hope that this helps! Gift giving can be frustrating, but just remember to have fun with it!
Are you almost done? What's your favorite present so far?
