New Release: Essence Spring/Summer 2016/2017

When one of your favorite budget brands comes out with newbies, you sit up and pay attention! Essence, which is stocked in Priceline and Target, has just released some brand new pretties for their Spring/Summer collection for 2016/2017, and there are some definite winners in the crowd!

The Light Up Face Luminizer Palette comes as a trio of highlighters that are meant to help you shine like the star that you are! These come in a light pearl, intensive shimmer and golden glow finish, so you can pick what's most appropriate for your look. This will only set you back by $8.20.

The Satin Touch Blush comes in three different shades, and it leaves the skin with a light pearl-effect. This is ideal for the warmer months, when all you need is a brush of colour to put a bit of natural glow to your skin. You can pick one up for $5.10.

Their Camouflage 2in1 Makeup & Concealer is meant to have long lasting coverage with a matte finish. This comes in a tube with a twist cap and this also has a total of three shades to pick from. This retails for $7.80.

All about matts! Their Matt Matt Matt Lipstick is light, creamy, and what I do love about it is that their 02 shade is a bit of a 'my lips but better' colour, which means that while it's subtle, it makes enough of a difference to add to my look for the Summer. Something lighter, while still pretty. There are seven colours in total, and it is only $4.70 each.

Their Matt Matt Matt Lipgloss, while a bit contradictory, given that matt and gloss don't really go together, has a lovely and light mousse-like texture that has a velvety finish, and this also smells remarkably like caramel! I like the finish, but it sadly doesn't stay on as well as I'd like for it to. These also cost $4.70 and they are available in five colours.

For a bit of an extra something on the lids, the Rock 'n' Doll Duo Stylist Eyeliner Pen has a bit of a bulb at the end to create looks, whether it's dots of lines you're after. This is $5.10.

Their Extreme Lasting Eye Pencil comes in six colours, and these are meant to last, as well as be waterproof, so it would be an ideal one for the tightline. This retails for $4.10.

The Gel Nail Polish is one of my favourite things from Essence, and they've come out with a new shade, Pretty Cool Life 83, which is an almost pastel green, but not quite, and a good one for the warmer months. The nail polishes are $3.25 each.

For the icing on the cake, you can pick between the Rock 'n' Doll Crazy XXXL Volume Mascara, or the False Lashes Mascara for Dramatic Volume Unlimited. At $5.75, you can definitely change your mascara every three months as is needed!

Essence is stocked in both Priceline and Target, and they are the best for when you're in need of a perk me up, because they will never cost you an arm and a leg!
