My Week In Hauls - aka I Know Why I'm Always Broke!
I hope everyone has had a great week! It's been busy, but steady. I spent the weekend with family and celebrated Mother's Day with my mother-in-law, who is undoubtedly one of the nicest people I know (she was a social worker, and she's patient, lovely and filled with some terrible puns!) and my little cat, Baby Prince, gifted me with enough stuff from Priceline to qualify for the above beauty bag!
Here's what he bought for me - he's just a really generous cat! The one thing I ummed and ahhed over was the Rimmel liner, as it's a little on the fence regarding being cruelty free. However, I did end up getting it (or the cat did, rather), as there aren't that many liners that have good holding power on the waterline without transferring onto my contacts.
I also took advantage of Target's 30% off of NYX cosmetics and stumbled across this lovely little gem! I bought this NYX palette, Butt Naked Turn The Other Cheek, which contains 15 eyeshadows of varying shades, both matte and shimmery, 4 blushes and 3 highlighters.
It also has a reasonably large mirror, and comes in a glossy black case. You access the highlighters and blushes by sliding out the bottom.
How gorgeous is this? I was looking for something travel friendly like this, so I was over the moon when I found this hiding at the Bondi Junction Target. I've used it a few times since I purchased it, and it's really pretty. I feel a FOTD coming on!
There might be another post in the near future regarding the other palette in the collection... Stay tuned!
It was a makeup heavy week, with my parcel arriving from my sister in the States. I can't wait for Sephora to open up here later this year (can you believe?!?!?), but in the meantime, having my sister send me stuff is the way to go!
Hello, Naked 3! I fell in love with the other 2 about 6 months ago, and I'm so excited about this baby! This contains some gorgeous rose-coloured hues and it's packed with shimmery action!
I first tried some Deborah Lippmann when I stayed with my sister in New York back in October, and I love the opacity and general glitteriness of it all. I decided on Candy Shop, because I thought it would be fun to have fairy bread fingers all day!
This is the lazy girl's best friend when it comes to face masks! You're only meant to leave this baby on for 2 minutes, max, then wash it off. Love this stuff! Once I'm done with it, I might look at getting some GlamGlow, but for now, Kate is going to be taking care of my face.
So talked about, and yet not a trace of it in my collection until now! I love the sound of this dipbrow and I can't wait to use it! I've used powder, pencil, wax and now this!
Lastly, I bought this because I wanted to try out some Sephora makeup, and I thought this little one would be a good way to get started. It's packed with neutral shades and it's quite little, so this is purse friendly, and even shaped like one!
My sister tossed this one into the pack for me - she knows me so well! Wait for a review - you know you'll be seeing one on here soon!
And that's all! What have you bought recently? What's your favourite new find?
Aww, I love the palette! *O* So many shades~ <3

That sure is a lot of awesome stuff! The NYX palette looks really nice, I would love to see a review on it - I've often wondered if NYX shadows are good quality or not. And yay for Naked 3!
ReplyDeleteWill do, Sarah! Yay for Naked 3!
DeleteGreat haul! Love the look of the NYX palette, look forward to seeing what you do with it x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Loz! Sadly, I don't think the eyeshadows are quite as good as the blushes.
Delete:O naked 3!!! I've been keen to jump on the UD Naked wagon for a while, your sister's got a good taste in makeup products :)
ReplyDeleteI picked that one, actually - just wanted to collect the whole set and this one's gorgeous! She does, however, have good taste in makeup. :)
DeleteI've been eyeing that anastasia pomade for ages now! Have you tried it? Thoughts? Bit hard when it's not stocked here in Oz so can't swatch it. I'm asaian with black (and sparse) brows so probably leaning towards chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI thought I would be more chocolate too, considering that I'm also Asian and I didn't want BROWS, I just wanted brows - but I tried today, and it was pretty good! A full review to follow! ;)
