Review: AHC Luminous Glow Real Eye Cream

Happy Sunday! I think that my favourite day of the week has to be Saturday - there's a lot to be said for getting up early to head to the gym so that you can kick ass, set your intentions for the day (to kick ass for the rest of it, naturally) and get chores done, like cleaning the house, meal prepping and blogging, and you can still socialise that evening without feeling guilty for indulging in some extra calories and drinks, and stay safe in the knowledge that you don't necessarily have to get up hideously early in the morning. This takes us, of course, to Sunday, which is a good follow up to Saturday, and that's why I refer to it as Happy Sunday, because it hopefully is! You have the option to be a little lazy, and either do something actively, or be a slug and binge watch your way through a season of the guilty pleasure of your choice.

Sunday also happens to be the day of recovery, and by that, I don't just mean the hangover you might be nursing as a result of your big Saturday night. We're talking abut what having a big night might do to your skin, and having a day off so that you can help it bounce back and prep it for the week ahead. One of the facial areas that I tend to the most definitely the under eye region. It's the place where my stress and fatigue tend to show, and I can't hide those signs as well as I'd like to, and it also can't stay behind a mask during the day like the lower half of my face.

Therefore, it's really important to have a great eye cream that I can apply twice daily as a maintenance product, and I've been loving the AHC Luminous Glow Real Eye Cream! for those who may not know this, AHC is a Korean skincare brand and they are now readily available at Priceline, both in store and online! Slight segue way here, but how great is Priceline for bringing a brand like this under their roof, and making it so accessible? And you should be excited because this cream showcases real value for money, with it costing about $26 for 30 ml of product!

This tube boasts the ability to brighten skin and reduce wrinkles, all while being fast absorbing. There is a blend of powerful ingredients included in this to help carry out their claims, such as glutathione, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C derivatives. Additionally, it is also packed full of antioxidants, and it also uses microcapsule technology to effectively deliver active ingredients to the skin.

It comes in a tube with a screw cap that isn't fiddly. The nozzle is flat and I like that this prevents it from simply glooping out. The cream is relatively thick and white, and takes a bit of patting to help it settle down. Once it does, it doesn't seem to react with any other bits of skincare of makeup, and I have noticed a difference in the overall hydration of my skin in that area. I also feel like the dark eye circles aren't as apparent as they could be - I mean, it's certainly not like I'm sleeping more! For the price point, it's hard to go wrong, as especially as they get it so right! I'm currently contemplating my next AHC purchase - what about you?
