Review: Frulaskin Hydrate and Glow Face Oil

It's really hard not to get FOMO! I wish I could be in a billion places at once, seeing all of the sights, eating all of the things, and most importantly, trying all of the products. I have calmed down a lot from when I was younger, but there are still moments, particularly when I'm overseas and aware that I'm living life on a timer, where I know I'll only be spending a finite amount of time in one place, that I may not be able to find that one life changing product, or be able to pick out a gem that may transform my skin. My one method for finding a product to try, sometimes, is simply just picking out a couple of products from brands I've never heard of.

In this case, we're talking about the time I went to New Zealand, and walked into a Chemist Warehouse to see what I could pick up. I figured it was going to feel a little like an parallel universe Chemist Warehouse, where things would be similar, but not exactly the same, and I was right! I was able to find some products that piqued my interest, including this Frulaskin Hydrate and Glow Face Oil, which really appealed to me with their peachy coloured box, and the promise of waking up to 'soft, rejuvenated and glowing skin'.

I'm a sucker for anything that claims to give my skin a glow, and this does not disappoint! This face oil is comprised of a blend of some stunning oils, including rosehip oil, which meant to help target signs of ageing, and give the skin a youthful boost. There's also jojoba oil, which is supposed to help keep the skin beautifully moisturised, while evening primrose oil is there to hive the skin a luminous radiance. This powerful mix of antioxidants and vitamins can help to nourish and revitalise the skin, so that you can be left with a revitalised and hydrated complexion that keeps it's glow.

The oil is contained in a clear orange bottle with a very plastic dropper built into the cap. The suction isn't amazing, but it works well enough to get the product out, and given that you don't need a huge amount for this to work, it probably dispenses the right amount of oil ie not very much. The oil itself is relatively oily, but it also doesn't leave your skin feeling like it's simply going to slide off. Rather, this gets absorbed quite nicely, and my skin seems to react really well to it.

It's a lightweight oil that leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft, and looking brighter and generally all around just being more moisturised. It's cruelty free, vegan and made in New Zealand, and worth every cent that I paid for it! This is appropriate for all skin types, and the good news is that you don't have to go to New Zealand to pick it up - you can find it online at Chemist Warehouse here in Australia, as well as in store and online at Woolworths. This retails for $30, and I would recommend picking it up the next time you're out and about! What's your preferred face oil?
