Review: Vanessa Megan Super C + Bearberry Face Serum

Can you feel it? That's right, it's just one month away to Christmas now! It's time to start your Christmas shopping, if you haven't done so already, and if you're one of the super duper organised witches, such as myself, then you may be wrapping your gifts at this point. I am currently preparing for my mother to come and stay with us, and not just that, we'll also be hosting two of my aunts at the same time, speaking of witches... I'm just kidding! Mum, and my lovely aunts, if you're reading this, we're really looking forward to having you guys here in Sydney!

 

That said, though, it does mean that we are well and truly ramping up to the busiest time of year, both at work and at home, and on top of that, we have loved ones coming over to stay, which means we won't have much time to get a lot of things done, and just thinking about everything that I have to get on top of stresses me out. At least there's one thing that I don't have to worry about too much, and that's my skin. At the moment, I'm using the Vanessa Megan Super C + Bearberry Face Serum to keep it looking all glowy, which I'm totally loving! 

 

I first got to try out this brand years ago when I first started blogging - I remember really loving their packaging, with the beautiful butterfly symbol neatly placed on the bottle. The packaging has changed since I was first introduced to the brand, but it still has their symbolic butterfly on every product, and it has such a beautiful background to why they chose that to be such a big part of their brand. Vanessa Megan is an Australian brand created by Vanessa Gray Lyndon, as a sort of tribute to her father. Their underlying motto is all about having healthy, powerful skincare without compromising on what's important to you.

 

The Super C + Bearberry Face Serum is supposed to help actively brighten the skin, giving it that good glow through a blend of powerful ingredients made up of Bearberry, Kakadu Plum and Emu Apple extract. Bearberry is meant to help brighten the skin, while also acting as an anti-inflammatory to help keep the skin calm. The Emu Apple is supposed to protect the skin against sun damage, while also acting to repair it, in addition to having anti-aging benefits. Of course, we all know that Kakadu Plum is brimming with Vitamin C, which is meant to help reduce the appearance of dark spots and acne scarring, as well as keep the skin firm. There's also pineapple and cranberry enzymes to help break down dead skin cells, allowing for fresh, new skin to be revealed, and better penetration of other products. 

 

This comes in a tall, amber dropper bottle, and it's easy to get the product out. Simply place a few drops into the palm of your hand, then massage them into the face, neck and decolletage. I love that this does seem to help keep my complexion looking radiant and clear, and that it doesn't sit around on the skin, and instead, it does feel like it sinks in quickly.
