Review: Goodness Chia Seed Oil *

Goodness is one of the brands that I'm currently crushing on, thanks to their Every Week Face Scrub (see full review here), which I absolutely adore! That said, when I was given the chance to try out their new certified organic chia seed oil, I was stoked!

This comes in a standard dropper bottle that contains about 20 ml of product, and this makes it easy to access the product without dipping back into the packaging. There is a 3:1 ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 essential fatty acids, which is meant to be great for the skin.

Being my first run in with a predominantly chia seed oil, I wasn't sure what to expect. This is relatively light and gets absorbed within a few minutes. I have found this to have little to no scent to it, which is great for those who are sensitive to smells.

While I have enjoyed using this facial oil, I don't think it would be completely replacing my rosehip oil. This feels a little more functional to me, and a little less what you'd use to pamper yourself. I will say, however, overall, I have found this to be great at hydrating my skin, and my cuticles, which have benefited wonderfully from this.

As before, Goodness is cruelty free and it all comes in recyclable packaging. They do have a very reasonable price point generally, and this is only $19.95. Be sure to check out the other goodies that this line has (I adore their night cream!).

Are you keen on trying this chia seed oil? What's your favourite oil?

  2. Smell is one reason that I've put my rosehip oil on hiatus! You have to try A'kin's rosehip oil - it smells AMAZING
