My Weekend in Melbourne!

How was your weekend, lovelies? Did you take full advantage of the sunshine in Sydney, or were you like me, in a slightly cooler (but still lovely) state, walking around the city?

I flew to Melbourne with my other half for a bit of a long weekend. We did quite a bit of shopping on Friday, followed by dinner at Attica, which is apparently the BEST restaurant in Australia, according to the Good Food Guide (I think), and wow - it's definitely deserving of that title! Those following me on Instagram would have seen the pictures - I won't post them again here, because it'd just make me hungry!

We had an 8 course degustation, and they even took us out to the garden at the back to show us some of their veges and herbs. This was the 3rd dinner in the series of 12 that I promised Mr Prince for his 30th birthday. It's hard to imagine that there could be a better restaurant after this!

Saturday took the form of a tour group, where we headed out to the Moonlit Sanctuary, which houses a number of Aussie native animals, and we got to hand feed some of the marsupials. We then headed to Panny's, which is a chocolate factory, which was a lot of fun! They had a bit of a chocolate display and museum type walk through, and it was both kitschy and tasty - definitely recommend this if you're out that way.

We then ended things at Phillip Island, where we got to watch rafts of fairy penguins come back to shore and head to their little houses. They're seriously cute! For anyone who's never had the chance to see them, you really, really should plan a trip out - they're just adorable!

On Sunday, we managed to squeeze in a little trip to the Love Vintage fair that they had on in the Royal Exhibition Hall at Carlton Gardens and I bought a few small and gorgeous trinkets. No more spending for me, I think!

And that's my weekend! What did you lovelies get up to?

    1. I know - who am I really kidding? I punished myself for all that mad spending today by doing housework and laundry. :) I feel a little less guilty now, at least!
