Review: Ardell Lashes and FOTD and OOTD for Toby Keith! *

Ah, Toby Keith, you sexy man! When a huge American country star decides to hold a concert in Sydney, you just HAVE to step up your game and bring your own sexy to the table. To find out what I used to create the look above, keep scrolling down!

I'm no stranger to falsies, but when I was asked if I wanted to review some Ardell lashes, I leapt at the chance to do so. Prior to this, I never had the chance to try any Ardell lashes, but I have been using the brow palette by them, and it's AMAZING, so I really wanted to give their lashes a go!

Out of the four above, I picked 402 from the Edgy collection, which, according to the website, is meant to,"create that glam rock star look". Exactly the right look for a concert!

I elected to go with a bit of a nude smokey eye look, paired with red, red lips and big, wavy hair. Sorry about the quality of the shot - it's the best angle! I also dabbed on a bit of green under my eyes to brighten things up a little and add a little edge to my look.

The lashes were easy to place on, and I did have to trim them a little, which was very doable, due to the length of the lashes being obviously different. Most of the Ardell lashes are made from human hair, aside from the really fancy ones that also have rhinestones, or when they are particularly intricate.

Here are all the products that I used to create my look for the evening!

And here's what I wore to the concert! I paired some black cowboy boots with blue denim shorts from Jeanswest, an Arabella Ramsay blue leather jacket and an Express top I bought in Canada. Relaxed, and Summery!

The evening was thoroughly amazing, and I was glad I went all out for it! I really need to get back into wearing falsies more often, and be more open to different styles that can change my look. For those looking to purchase Ardell lashes, these babies can be found at Terry White Chemists, and certain other pharmacies. They retail for $8.99, and the Edgy range was just released at the start of the year.

When do you wear your falsies? Have you tried the Ardell ones before?

*These products were kindly provided for my consideration.

  1. You look gorgeous with the falsies! I've worn them twice in my life, both for photos shoots, but I always end up ripping them off as soon as I come out. Something about sticking things onto my eye lids I feel a little odd about.. or maybe they were just crap lashes!

    1. The ripping off part is usually the most painful! Haha... I actually found these babies to go on very easily - not sure if it's just because of practise or because of the lashes themselves!

  4. Love the look! That jacket is sooooo cute! I usually wear falsies at dancing photo shoots and dance concerts when I wear contacts. Other times I wear glasses and falsies can hit the lenses when I blink which is annoying.
